Taking influence from Molchat Doma, Boy Harsher and Slowdive, Post Punk outfit Double Happiness blend a wash of Shoegaze guitars into a spearhead of harsh sequencers and drum machines.

Formed from a clamour of former Garage punks (and one Yuppie), the band blends visceral aggression with haunting synth textures to describe the ‘Kitchen Sink Gothic’ winters of the grimier corners of Melbourne.

Their recent releases demonstrate a wild departure from the mainstay Melbourne acts from which each member originates. Refusing to take the path most travelled, Double Happiness mete out their intensity in precise, coordinated doses - everything is written with a purpose, and every action on the array of devices and equipment that accompany them is planned to deliver an impact.

Town Ace are a noisy post-punk 4 piece hailing from the inner north. Getting together in 2017, the quartet have been driven by insistent rhythms and wiry guitars, releasing their debut album 'Peers' via Stargazed Records in 2022. They've been gigging heavily throughout 2023 with the likes of Winternationale, Carpal Tunnel Band, House of Light, Signal Chain, Hot Dog, Sudden Debt, Scuzzface, Genuine Fake, No Hoper and Heavy Toll.

Addictive tunes from Zane of Signal Chain fame, No Wave ensemble Grups are surging off their latest, cryptically titled release, PbCr04/Fade to Zomp. Easygoing and introspective riffs with a heavy dose of Psych. New, but not strangers to the Melbourne circuit, Grups build upon time-tested indie sounds, bringing a laid back on-stage charisma and hypnotically rich guitar tones.
