I feel like this is the set I've been waiting to play since my mum bought me my turntables exactly 25 years ago this year. She got them for me as a birthday present on my 17th birthday, 18 October, 2000. And now, on my 42nd birthday I finally get to take both friends and fans on a full-blown open to close journey through the music that’s shaped my life, the sounds that have inspired me, lifted me, and been the soundtrack to my existence.

Through my various event brands, I’ve always aimed to curate dance floors that reflect my musical passions, and spaces that feel personal, expressive, and full of energy. And now, I get to bring it all together in one set: not just playing my favourite tracks across my favourite genres, but also sharing some of my own music with you.

This is the kind of moment I’ve been dreaming about my whole life. I can't wait to share it with you.

This isn’t just about nostalgia. It’s about honouring the journey through sound, through struggle, through community. Whether you’ve been with me since the beginning or you’ve only just stepped onto the dancefloor, you’re a part of this chapter.

Over the past several years, Dark Sin has become a driving force in Melbourne’s electronic music scene. As the creator of TR!P, Alchemy, RUSH, and Chunk, and co-promoter of major events like MHTR and It's a House Thing, he’s built a network of events that go beyond just parties. They’re communities. Each brand reflects a unique sound and vibe, but all share the same DNA: inclusivity, connection, and a deep respect for the dancefloor.

When the pandemic hit and dance floors fell silent, Sin was one of the first in the local scene to pivot to Twitch streaming, quickly becoming a staple for thousands of isolated ravers around the world. With over 6,500 followers today, his streams became more than just music, they were lifelines. He’s received countless messages from fans who said the streams helped them through depression and loneliness, and even saved their lives during lockdown.

A passionate believer in giving back, Sin has consistently championed both emerging and returning talent. He has provided countless up-and-coming DJs with their first opportunity behind the decks and created space for veteran DJs to reconnect with the scene, many of whom never thought they’d get the chance to play again. His hard trance brand TR!P is widely credited with reigniting the genre in Melbourne, becoming one of the few long-standing events to endure and thrive in its second wave.

What truly sets him apart, though, is the atmosphere he’s cultivated on his dance floors, a space where people feel safe, seen, and free. Over the years, many have said his events are the only places they’ve ever truly felt like they could be themselves on a dancefloor, without fear of judgment.

This upcoming event is more than just a celebration, it’s deeply personal. It falls on Sin’s 42nd birthday, marking exactly 25 years to the day since his mum gifted him his very first pair of turntables. In a full-circle tribute, he’ll be using those same decks on the night.

For the first time, he’ll perform a Boiler Room-style set, no stage, no barriers, just Sin on the dancefloor with the community that’s grown around him. He’ll guide the crowd through the music that has defined his life, blending his favourite tracks with his own productions.

It’s not just a set, it’s the culmination of a journey. And, true to his mantra, it’s about creating moments that make time stand still.
