Nichaud Fitzgibbon, one of Melbourne’s favourite vocal stylists is celebrating 45 years in the industry and a significant birthday by paying a special homage to the great iconic Queen of St Kilda, Soul Funk Diva, the amazing RENEE GEYER featuring curated selection of her hits songs.
Performing alongside her will be an all star lineup of Melbourne’s finest. Nichaud and her Captivators will lay down a melting pot of Bluesy Grooves Funk N’ Soul featuring the legendary Charlie Owen – guitar, Jex Sarrelaht – keys, Kim May – bass and Tony Floyd – drums with extra special surprise guests including Duncan Sykes- guitar, Paul Williamson – Sax and more.
Nichaud ‘s career has been varied from singing Jazz with top Australian and International Jazz musicians to working with Rock Legends as a backing singer for James Reyne, The Models, The Badloves, Larry Maluma and more. Nichaud started her original Funk band Yoyo in the late 80’s and performed frequently on The Big Gig TV series and The Steve Vizard Show.
Having recently returned from performing in California and Las Vegas USA. Nichaud delighted audiences with her vocal style and story telling. Nichaud is an award winning vocalist who has that sultry sound and natural sense of swing that equates to a fine Jazz vocalist plus she has the prowess and attitude to pay homage to her favourite Australian singer.
Nichaud ‘s birthday wish was to include a special ode to Elvis from some of her best mates including the incredible voice of Emmanuel, ( Winner of Search For A STAR ) and Superstar entertainer Eugene Hamilton.
