The fourth album release from Sydney’s Delay 45, I’ll Go Where You Go showcases the band’s distinctive voice, shaped by years of close collaboration, friendship and deep musical trust. Drawing on a wide palette of influences — ranging from hip hop and minimalism to contemporary jazz and free improvisation — the album features mostly short motifs, melodies and forms that provide a platform for dynamic textural interplay.

The result is a recording in which the band’s collective musical identity comes to the fore: a fine balance between precision and openness, where structure dissolves into spontaneity and familiarity gives way to exploration. Individually agile and collectively unified, the members of Delay 45 bring finesse, creativity and emotional depth to every track.

With a friendship dating back to their high school years, Delay 45 perform with rare cohesion and sensitivity. This album is a celebration of that shared history.

They have performed at many of Australia’s leading venues and festivals, including the Sydney Opera House, Phoenix Central Park, Melbourne Recital Centre and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Delay 45 is led by trumpeter Tom Avgenicos, in close collaboration with pianist Roshan Kumarage, bassist Dave Quinn and drummer Ashley Stoneham.
