Eora Sydney five piece Dead Witch announce their return with a sunny, jangly garage
psych single RAINBOW, the band’s first release of 2025, and celebrate with three

special tour dates on the east coast.

After the 2024 split single release of ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Saturn’s Return’, which received
love from triple j, triple j unearthed, FBi Radio, 2SER, RTR, PBS, 4ZZZ and Life
Without Andy, and the appearance of their track ‘La Nina’ on Netflix’s massive hit show
Heartbreak High, Dead Witch are back with their first single of 2025, Rainbow.
Come for Dead Witch’s signature harmonies and fuzzy guitars, stay for the infectious
rhythm section – and chuck it on repeat. Reminiscent of indie garage influences Straight
Arrows and BOYTOY, the 2 minute burner began as a songwriting exercise back in

2020 and was revived, with new lyrics and melodies, as a challenge to create a short
and sweet rock n roll single, in contrast to the band’s longer form psych jams.
Lyrically, riffing on the belief that a rainbow is a symbol of encouragement, hope and
good fortune, the song’s Rainbow is personified as a dreamgirl who keeps showing up

to remind you you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Recorded at Golden Retriever Studios, produced & mixed by Wade Keighran, mastered

by Nick Franklin.

Dead Witch will be celebrating with three special free entry shows in Sydney, Byron Bay
and Melbourne. After a hiatus from touring it’ll be the first chance to catch the band live

in over a year.
