Hailing from the coast of the surf (the surf coast if you will), De Porsal came from humble beginnings, writing quaint little indie rock tunes for simpler times and simpler folk. But now that's all changed. Things have gotten tough out there, and De Porsal's the one band out there brave enough to hold a mirror up to this broken society that we call “Australia”.

Okay hold on, there might have been a mix-up. It seems De Porsal just released an album titled ‘Soft Cowboy’? Some sort of bastardised take on country and western music in the form of a cinematic musical epic? I find it hard to believe that this is the band that’s supposed to be at the forefront of societal commentary and change. Spearheading the alt-country scene in Australia, sure. But not too sure about all that other stuff.

Anyways, they’re pretty alright, maybe give them a listen. De Porsal. Music by dullards for dullards. For tough times and simple folk.
