The Dalee Sami Project is a unique collaboration that crosses both genres of music and international borders. Nearly half a dozen years ago, Australian funk-rock muso, Sami, came across Korean jazz-pop artist, NamDalee, while she was busking in Melbourne City and the two immediately became friends after a jam. However, the next half a decade saw them on opposite sides of the Pacific Ocean until Dalee returned to Australia in 2023.

As a representative and cultural ambassador of the Korean jazz community, Dalee was looking for an international artist with whom to build a bridge. It was an opportunity that Sami couldn’t miss, so the Dalee Sami Project was born. When performing live, a DSP setlist will always be a mixture of original songs written either by NamDalee or Özergun, plus a collection of jazz standards and some acoustic rock covers.

The DSP is back in town and ready to make ears happy down here in the Southern Hemisphere!
