Performing in Melbourne for the first time, Cumbiamuffin brings to the Night Cat the entire Crew to celebrate in style this Saturday, July 20th for one night only.
Cumbiamuffin has established itself as Sydney’s most representative Cumbia Orchestra, performing at some of the most prestigious stages, including Sydney Festival, Sydney VIVID and Tropfest 2017.

Put together by Colombian and Australian musicians, the project has the common vision of introducing the purest sounds of traditional Cumbia to the Australian audiences.
Cumbiamuffin’s wall of sound is unstoppable on the dance floor and with the collective energy of authentic Colombian singers, rapidly becoming one of the most Iconic Sydney’s big Orchestras.

Cumbia is the most contagious, joyful rhythm from Latin America, played as a big band Orchestra vibe, combining elements of Reggae, Ragga and Roots from the Caribbean.

With their roots in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Melbourne-based band The New Monos combine inspiration from their South American heritage and diverse musical experience with the flavor of contemporary Buenos Aires, mixing Reggae, Folklore, Cumbia, Rock, Rumba, Hip-hop and Latin beats, all expressed with the passion of the Tango.
Catch them live on JULY 20 at The Night Cat!
