Collective No-ones is a collaboration between trumpeter Phil Day, drummer Alon Ilsar and bassist Sam Anning which celebrates spontaneous composition, egalitarianism and deep listening. The three improvisers come together to create ambient soundscapes, evolving rhythms and sonic narratives inspired by Gwana music, minimalism and the free music tradition.

For their Jazzlab debut, the band invites pianist Joe O’Connor, an explorer with a delicate harmonic sensibility that unfolds slowly in asymmetrical cycles. The performance will also feature Alon Ilsar on AirSticks, a gestural instrument he has invented and honed.
