Chitra's latest single “In My Opinion” is the sound of interpersonal frustration coming to a fiery, explosive head. Pummelling and resplendent, it’s Chitra at her punchiest and least forgiving, a piquant rejoinder to someone who refuses to change their patterns of behaviour. Beginning as a classic, chugging road song, “In My Opinion” quickly builds to a magnetic, supernova chorus: “I don’t wanna do it no more,” Chitra sings, letting go of the idea that she should be required to people please. Chitra and her band will be performing her latest single amongst a wealth of new material in Melbourne at The Gasometer on Thursday, 27th June and will be joined very special guests, Mika James and Hannah Mckittrick.
