CHIBCHA:

Oscar is a Musician and music producer born and raised in Colombia and based in Australia more than 20 years. Also known as the leader of popular Latin alternative acts such Amaru Tribe and ARIA Nominated band Watussi, Oscar is a multitalented and versatile artist who has performed in Festivals around the world (Womadelaide, Bluesfest, SXSW2019) and has opened concerts for artists such as Santana, Seun Kuti, Manu Chao, Juan Luis Guerra and more. He has been twice winner of the International Songwriting Competition in the Latin Category (ISC 2012 and 2016) both releases of his solo releases as a singer-songwriter.

Together with local promoters, artists, and Dj's he also runs Vibrating Planet, an independent music label, and events company, with a mission to produce, promote and create collaborations between high-quality artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. Oscar has worked as a music producer not only of his own work but with artists such as Nhatty Man, Senegambian Jazz Band, The Black Orchids String Band, Madre Monte, Miss Colombia, Labjacd, and more. He also works at Multicultural Arts Victoria as Music Projects Officer where he shares his passion for community arts and social projects.
