Capturing pop's zeitgeist in recent years, last year’s solo debut ‘Colors’ with its subtle production and feel good vocals, was produced by Grammy award-winning producer M-Phazes (Eminem, Madonna, Lupe Fiasco) and landed in the US, Australian and Spotify’s Global Viral Top 50 as well as garnered support from tastemakers such as Beats 1, KCRW, Notion, C-Heads, Indie Shuffle, Earmilk and Red Bull Music. Having supported US R&B superstar Khalid on his last Australian tour in 2017 as well as various local artists throughout 2018, Charlz has also collaborated with international names including Deadmau5 protégé ATTLAS, to UK phenomenon Maths Time Joy and Grammy award-winner Latroit.

Alternative-pop artist Max Lawrence is launching his debut EP ‘Chlorophyll’, and bringing his ethereal, anthemic melodies to the Gasometer for a big headline show. 'Chlorophyll' is a journey of self-healing; about growing out of darkness and becoming comfortable in your own skin, and re-connecting with the natural world and the people around you.

Produced by GOLDNOIR, and co-produced by Max, the sonic landscape of the EP brandishes exalting synths and expressive textures emulating the sounds of the natural world, creating a vivid universe to complement Max's warm vocals and sensual songwriting. A limited run of physical CD's will be available for purchase at the launch.
