Chamber Obscura return to Open Studio for their final show of 2023- performing Piazzolla, original tangos, afro-cuban and flamenco!
Featuring Max Walker (guitar), Sophie Dunn (violin), Suzanne Andrews (piano) and Phil Mcleod (double bass, accordion), Chamber Obscura combine their eclectic experience in world music to bring a dynamic approach to Piazzolla and original tango compositions. Their breadth includes flamenco and afro-cuban styles, combining classical skill with virtuosic improvisation. Joined by the exquisite flamenco dancer Caterina Pizzati, Chamber Obscura perform traditional and nuevo flamenco with expanded instrumentation.
