We’re beyond thrilled to present Caucasian Opportunities for our upcoming event at 24 Moons on August 23rd. A dynamic force in the Naarm underground, Caucasian Opportunities is a genre defying DJ and curator whose sets effortlessly blur the lines between bass, techno, jungle, and more. Her sound is both boundary pushing and deeply rooted. A first-generation migrant, her sonic world is shaped by the duality of her upbringing, weaving together the driving energy of jungle, drum & bass, and raw ghetto beats into high intensity dancefloor workouts. Every set is an exploration of rhythm, movement. Caucasian Opportunities has also had great involvement with collectives that hold core values similar to ours at Contrast, which put a focus on creating inclusive spaces for marginalised communities in Naarm and beyond. Her work with UMAMI, Urban Analytics and Miscellania have all inspired the creation and continual drive forward at Contrast. Supported by the a star studded cast of C000kie, Love, Jess, DAMEEEELA, Light Jog and Otteo b2b Chef Dan. This event is a showcase of both Caucasian Opportunities and upcoming artists that are following in her footsteps and promoting jungle, footwork and bass genres alike for all the right reasons. Join us on August 23 as Caucasian Opportunities brings her distinct vision to the floor. Expect sweat, catharsis, and sound that doesn’t ask for space, it claims it. This will be a no phones event, with cameras being covered to create an intimate and judgement free experience solely focussed on enjoying the music.
