Music Mamas was created in 2016 by local singer/songwriter and mum Kat O purely because there weren’t many gigs where she could play in front of her young daughter. After talking to female musicians in the same boat the idea quickly came to fruition. 

Music Mamas started out as a Sunday afternoon family friendly/kid friendly event where local female singer/songwriters with children played a showcase gig. 

In 2017 Kat O teamed up with talented local musician and mum Viki Mealings to help with Music Mamas. The event has since evolved to include female, male and non-binary performers with nieces/nephews or just a love of kids. 

The artists chosen to play Music Mamas all fit the acoustic pop/rock/folk genre, perfect for kids' ears.
