After 3 EPs, Cabbage Moth is releasing their debut full-length album, ‘A Cultural History’.
Beginning with a short acoustic song recorded with one mic in the backyard, and finishing with a 7-minute synth-led wall of sound, the album covers a large swathe of sonic and lyrical territory. Spiky post-punk numbers jostle with piano ballads. Songs stop and start, and head in strange directions. Lyrics touch on housing and homes, growth and decay, dreams, love, and existential angst. The album was recorded at home over the course of about a year and mixed by Tim Harvey (Jade Imagine).
