'This gig is my first exploration into playing my music with a band in Melbourne. Featuring grooving hard hitting tunes like my first single ‘Dans la vie’ as well as softer more vulnerable songs like the B-side of that track, ‘Look of Longing’. I wear my musical influences on my sleeves, and for all of the people that know me well, I’m sure that you already know these people as I can’t stop talking about them and to those who don’t, you’ll just have to come along and figure it out for yourself (it won’t be very hard). I figure I should probably give some idea of what the music will actually sound like so I’ll tell you that I have taken inspiration from artists in the genres of alt-rock, jazz, and lounge, with more recent explorations into the worlds of folk and soul.
