“Once upon a time, these frenetic sonic abusers of “music” performed a rag tag show on the original bare bones stage of the now Mamma Chen’s. It was a very intimate crowd, but a good time was made and new synaptic conditions created.

But in the final death throughs of the Old Venue a not as accepting crowd did wallow in the bar. As we performed only other patron in the front bar decided their Brain was too full and was now contemplating their purpose in the Universe.

Deciding to put an end to that “FUCK”N NOISE SHIT” they came into the stage room and yanked cords from the main mixing desk, this happened several times. As a response SPASMOSLOP gaffered Pillows on the mixers and was unable to be altered from its now heavier output.

It is a glad welcome to be allowed to perform again in the space and with a grander sound. The acceptance of Mamma Chen’s for any forms of music, performance, art, style or gender is a welcome change. We look forward to perfoming on Feburary 7th.-”
