Amphi and Space Cast come together for a DAY and NIGHT of artistic exploration through discussion, movement and music. DAY SESSION: Q&A & Performance (5pm - 8pm) As an artist, creativity is a natural instinct, something that's intrinsic and omnipresent. Creativity can be a power to harness, a source of existential dread and is a force inside all of us. For most artists creativity is something that is inescapable, wrapped up in your being and who you are, but who are you? • How do you untether yourself from your artistic identity when you need to? • How do you embody your art form when it’s time to create? • How do you survive in a society with output metrics that don’t always align with wellbeing? These are some of the questions we will be exploring in our Q&A discussion with three brilliant women; • PJENNÉ - DJ, writer, radio show host, curator, label owner and PhD graduate • SHANNON MAY POWELL - somatic therapist, artist, writer, poet and performer • MAGGZ - award-winning movement artist, creative director and producer Our day event will also feature a performance from MaggZ. NIGHT SESSION: We Dance (8pm - 2am)! Step into the evening for a good old fashion dance party to shake things off at one of our favourite underground haunts - Wax Music Lounge. Home to Pitt and Giblin’s Exhibition 30, custom built in Tasmania with small spaces in mind, these are speakers that transform spaces into immersive and magical dance floor experiences.
