Tomboi Records presents Benedict and Georgia Fields in a double headline show at The Gasometer Hotel on Thursday 13 April.

Each their own compelling voice in evocative art-pop, both Benedict and Georgia will be performing in full band formation. This double headline show brings together two visionary artists from Melbourne’s music scene in a celebration of community and collaboration.

Alt-pop singer-songwriter Benedict is a contradiction in terms. Benedict creates a bold and vulnerable experience of sound all in one. Their songs translate lived experiences of social justice, love and heartbreak into powerful and honest anthems. Their velveteen vocal collides with haunting harmonies, dreamy synths and pulsating rhythms. Their songs are layered with sirenic vocals and crisp melodic artistry. Benedict filters a nostalgic 80s/90s pop influence through their own unique lens, echoing a sound that falls in between the lines of Kate Bush and Prince. Benedict has received rave write ups from tastemakers in Rolling Stone AU, Earmilk USA, Music Crowns UK, Tone Deaf and Music Feeds, as well as, landing a recent sync on TV show The Sex Lives of College Girls. Now having founded LGBTQIAplus, POC and Women focused label Tomboi Records, Benedict is sending waves worldwide.

“Georgia Fields dreams in fantastic Technicolor” (The Sydney Morning Herald). Backed by her four-piece band of multi-instrumentalists, the singer-songwriter conjures a magnetic onstage alchemy. Georgia’s innovative live show incorporates vocal loops and ethereal sample triggers with a dynamic indie-rock energy. Her third album Hiraeth was independently released to critical acclaim in November 2022, being enthusiastically embraced by community radio across the country, and receiving a four star review in The Australian who praised the album as “a moment of arrival for Fields.” This upcoming Gaso show follows three months of near-constant touring for Georgia, including support spots for Katie Noonan, Ella Hooper and Didirri.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to catch both Benedict and Georgia on stage with their full bands: Thursday 13 April at The Gasometer Hotel.
