This week we have a Beloved Records Takeover with Hannah Cameron, Elena Jones and Lena Douglas stopping by for a show.

Hannah Cameron is renowned for her ability to knock the wind out of you with her muscular guitar and a voice that could melt tar. There’s an unwavering strength to her poetry, matched by the weighty warmth of a baritone Gretsch, and an effortless complexity to her craft. So honed is the seasoned musician’s playing and poetry in fact, that “I don’t know how she does it” is a common whisper passed among audiences at her shows. And control – of her soaring voice, her deft guitar lines and her powerful narratives – is a thread that runs deep.

Elena Jones is a Naarm/Melbourne-based alt-folk artist, whose music evokes the nostalgia of 60s/70s Laurel Canyon within the modern-day landscape of alternative folk and country music. Her influences include classic artists such as Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, and more current indie folk/alt-country artists like Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman and Allegra Krieger. Her deft ability at sophisticated harmony and beautifully sensitive lyricism will pull you into a world that is at once intimate and expansive.

Lena Douglas emerged from Melbourne’s band scene as a keys player, but in recent years has shifted her focus toward the voice and songwriting—working with sung melody, vocal sampling, and experimentations with autotune. Her 2024 release Stockerz highlights a collage-like approach to form, weaving together acoustic textures, pop energy, and intricate harmonic progressions. She is currently working on a new album informed by the two years she spent studying at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.
