BANJZIG blend the sound of the Pogues, Dubliner's and Planxty, with Misfits, Maiden, Sabbath and Motörhead. They are the top traditional Celtic-doom metal banjo band in the entire central Footscray area. The three-piece is made up of three brothers from different mothers. Songs range from sean-nós children’s songs circa 14th-century, songs about the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland in the 12th century, to modern classics from Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Motörhead, Ozzy, Slayer, and Thin Lizzy.

They are joined by FirePöwer -  the Australian/American project feat. Al (Marching Orders / Australia) on vocals and members of Mob Mentality (U.S.A.) on the instruments. Motörhead meets AC/CD, Rose Tattoo and Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards.
