Awaking Tyler are convincingly embracing and revitalising the arena-rock sound with a style reminiscent of rock n’ roll powerhouses Bon Jovi, Motley Crue and Skid Row.

Adopting a hard rock edge but driven by a melodic centre the young 5-piece band, who all hail from the Mornington Peninsula, have made a name for themselves blowing away audiences with their massive choruses and melodic style.

Front man lead singer Tyler Wilford, reached national recognition as a member of the revamped Young Talent Time program on Channel 10 with he's strong powerful voice and ability to engage with crowd and bring them in to the world that is Awaking Tyler. The Uberti Brothers comprised of Michael and Shylo Uberti on lead guitar and bass offer a stage presence worth seeing in and of itself. Michael has solidified himself as one of the most exciting young guitarists in Melbourne and Shylo’s showmanship encapsulates the essence of the band’s frenzied yet organised approach. The rhythm guitarist, Rick Matthews, serves as the backbone of the group. And Jake Wilford, on the drums, is the glue that holds everyone together and is the heartbeat of the band.

Before the dreaded onset of the Covid lockdowns, Awaking Tyler were regularly performing in and around Melbourne at some of the city’s most exciting events and festivals. If one thing is for sure, there is only one chance to make a first impression when emerging from a pandemic and Awaking Tyler, brandishing a collection of both originals and covers, are more than up to the challenge.
