Hailed as one to watch by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Bandcamp Daily and NME in this special event she celebrates the release her extraordinary debut in real life!!
Emma Volard is a future-soul artist hailing from inner city Melbourne, her luscious compositions break the boundaries of soul music by fusing elements of jazz harmony with percussive vocals.
Feign Jima’s debut release “Out of Myself” demonstrates her strength as a songwriter and vocalist. Her silky tones tell more than tales as they thrust each track beyond the wistful, out of the window, past the blossoming garden and out of itself.
Like many of you, we were devastated to hear the tragic news of DOOMs passing on Oct 31 and thought what can we do to honour the man and celebrate his musical and cultural contribution to hip hop. We came up with this event to bring together some of DOOM's most enthusiastic fans in Melbourne to share stories and memories... So to honour MF DOOM and bring some of his fans in Melbourne together - on Friday 19th February we will be throwing a little party to celebrate the life, style and music of MF DOOM.
