The launch of AstroVillain's debut EP "Cosmic Operations".

The spicy acid-jazz outfit known as AstroVillain is coming to Colour on July 28th to launch their debut EP “Cosmic Operations (Part 1)”.

This colourful five-piece blends their own brand of funk-fusion and planetary ambience, creating a unique sound that has grooved its way into the heart of Melbourne’s underground future-jazz scene.

AstroVillain’s new four-track release captures the mystical vibe of the great beyond through a collection of spine-tingling rhythms, dirty riffs and enticing melodies.

Conor Anderson-Vague - Drums

Daniel McKenzie - Keys/Synth/Vocoder

Lawson Kennard - Bass

Ash Griffin - Guitar

Zeb Fernandez - Percussion

Joining the stage on the evening is Mad Vantage, an exciting new instrumental project which explores the sounds of prog-metal fused with nu-jazz and electronics. Fronted by SOLUNE (Selene Messinis - keyboards/synthesizers), this killer line-up also features Kumar Some (guitar/effects), Matt Hayes (electric bass) and Tim Cox (drums/electronics).

Come and celebrate the arrival of AstroVillain’s new release by joining this red-hot intergalactic musical party happening at Colour on July 28th!

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this event takes place, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
