Assorted Sporks is a free queer friendly regular poetry and performance night at Mamma Chen’s on Thursday the 29th of May

Themes are not mandatory, they are just to encourage you to experiment with your writing and improvisation. Feel free to make it weird.

Antonio Montaine is a rhythm poet, stylistically influenced by jazz and hip hop culture; his writing focuses on social and political issues.

7:00 pm for a 7:30 pm start, sign up will be available on the night.
5 minute limit.

Perform your poetry, creative writing or performance art on the open mic to a friendly audience or come and be part of the crowd. There are going to be themes, writing prompts and improvised creativity (2 lines to a theme to music). Completely free. For more information check the Facebook events closer to the date. Mamma Chen’s is a wheelchair accessible venue however, the stage is not; we are happy to pass you the mic if needed.
