ARC OF SUN (10pm)
"[Arc of Sun] spin deeply immersive soundscapes of rich sonic tapestries to deliver a captivating listening experience full of memorable and unpredictable moments.”
- Plastic Mag (UK)
Blurring genres and clear definitions, Arc of Sun’s distinct art rock evolves from subterranean ambience towards climactic sonic explosions, drawing listeners into realms beyond the everyday. Based in Melbourne, Australia, the group blends synthetic, often alien sounds with analogue instrumentation and haunting vocals. They blend traces of progressive rock, industrial, noise, trip hop, IDM, ambient, and various exotic world styles, as heard in their debut album ‘Unfold’ (2022), which gathered international publicity and continues to receive airplay across
Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
Unorthodox approaches frame Arc of Sun’s cerebral, yet emotive music, as layered atmospheric, rhythmic soundscapes climactically move through liminal tales of transformation and transcendence. Initially conceived from an artistic audiovisual project by songwriter, vocalist and visual artist Giosuè Prochilo, Arc of Sun expanded into a band to include Christian Prochilo on bass guitar and James Cartledge on drums, growing a reputation for notable musicianship and dynamic, emotive live performances.
