Following the release of her latest single ‘Shiny Thing’, a jaw dropping and intimate orchestral track, Boorloo based Singer-Songwriter Anna Schneider is embarking on a solo tour playing her first string of East Coast shows this May. Don’t miss out on having one of the best emerging talents from the West serenade you into an oblivion here at The Merri Creek Tavern Thursday May 2nd joined by exceptional piano-ballad-powerhouse Julia Wallace.

“As her first note floats out into the air, hair on the backs of necks rise and chatter simmers to stunned silence; Anna Schneider has you pulled in, and as she plays on, you’ll want to be nowhere else. The earnest elegance of Anna’s songwriting, which slips between folk and indie with alt-country touchstones, appears tantalisingly effortless, true, and endearingly demanding of your attention.

With a knack for melody and storytelling likened to Julia Jacklin and Adrienne Lenker, Anna’s is a voice worth listening to – pensive, assertive at times, powerful and yet subdued. Recently returning from playing at this years Nannup Music Festival, the young songwriter wrapped up 2023 with two industry nominations for ‘Best Vocalist’ and ‘Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter act’ at the WAM awards, a premiere for her music video ‘Crush’ on ABC’s rage and another most played 2023 track on RTR FM for her single ‘Lyrebird’. Lately, Anna has been found on the lineups of touring acts Jack Davies and The Bush Chooks, Sahara Beck and Kevin Mitchell (Bob Evans, Jebediah).”
