Alexander Beetle’s Naarm headline debut at The Artist Bar.
Beetle is a rambling troubadour from across the Nullarbor Plain calling Boorloo home. With his 12-fret parlour guitar slightly out of tune, and a fist full of rusted harmonicas, he delivers melodies of poetical meanderings about bees and birds, land rights and the poverty line. Living nestled amongst the towering Jarrah’s on Pinjareb Wilman Country (Dwellingup WA), he makes rare “trips down the hill” and even more rare, in this case, flying a steel bird, migrating east, to play his music for a wider audience.
Supporting Beetle at the Artist Bar on the 16th of March will be Luke Morrison and Mia June. Two Naarm based musicians that will have you stood frozen on the tracks whilst they drive the audible locomotive down the line. Resonant voices will converge with guitars in a melodic reckoning.
Tickets are $18 - A bargain for your ears!
