Albert Blank writes sharp, satirical indie rock songs with a pop heart and a punk sneer. His debut single, produced by Cry Club’s Jono Tooke and mixed by Aaron Cupples (The Drones, Kirin J Callinan), features members of Moaning Lisa and was spun by Dave Graney on community radio. Think: Elvis Costello covering the Shirelles in a Melbourne sharehouse. Catch him live while the feedback’s still warm.

Nelly Bardelle marries the gorgeousness of Sufjan Stevens with the complexity of Joanna Newsom, weaving intricate electric guitar through folk melodies, baroque textures, and strange, beautiful chords. This is her debut show. It will be intimate, and it won’t be forgettable.
