Initially intended as a joke for their children’s primary school fete entertainment late 2022, Bronwyn Henderson & Sean Simmons, celebrate the music of this country’s greatest hard rock band by swapping Angus Young’s Gibson SG for a telecaster & violin and Bon Scott’s bagpipes for an accordion. Then drop a few octaves to hit that Johnny Cash drawl and you’ve got … AC Dixie. With only a couple of gigs under their belt they have already been endorsed by AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd. Bronwyn Henderson & Sean Simmons are no strangers to Australia’s live music scene. Founding members of their beloved original band, The Spoils sharing the stage with the likes of Cat Power, Bonnie Prince Billy, Calexico, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Paul Kelly & The Church, while Bronwyn also arranges strings and plays violin with ex Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds/PJ Harvey guitarist, Mick Harvey.
