Live Transmission: Kerrie Poliness on the Geological History of Melbourne's West

Jenny chats with Kerrie Poliness, artist and President of Melbourne’s Living Museum of the West about the geological history of Melbourne's West. Kerrie studied the ecology of Country, west of the Maribyrnong, and the effects of European colonisation on the landscape.

They discuss Kerrie's work on the Victorian Volcanic Plains, the geological history of the area, and how hundreds of volcanoes, volcanic eruptions and lava in the southern western quarter of Victoria formed bluestone and the Maribyrnong River Valley.
