The Distant Sky: Bart Willoughby Is Still Surviving

Legendary First Nations musician Bart Willoughby joins Kate on The Distant Sky to chat about a very special evening
at Darebin Arts Centre on Sunday 19 May, presented by Songlines.

Presented in collaboration with Songlines Aboriginal Music, this special show will feature stage design by Alchemy Orange, a botanical design studio established by Yorta Yorta woman Shahn Stewart and will feature support from up and coming musician Canisha.

The founding member of No Fixed Address, Willoughby is said to be the tip of the spear in the modern indigenous Song-line, and has had one of the most storied careers in Australian music.

Listen back to hear Bart share some legendary stories from across his five decades in the local music scene, and what he has learnt as a pioneer of First Nations rock and reggae music.
