Banksia: The Torch Project's Melissa Bell and Bianca Baldwin Discuss Confined 14 Exhibition
Gunditjmara, Yorta Yotra woman and artist Melissa Bell and Gunnai-Kurnai woman and Indigneous Arts Officer, Bianca Baldwin from The Torch joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk all about the Confined 14 exhibition.
With artwork featured in the exhibition, Melissa spoke about how she has been developing her art practice through The Torch and how her artwork reflects connection to culture and country.
Confined 14 features over 450 artworks from over 400 First Nations artists who are currently in prison in Victoria, or have been released in recent years, and has been on display at Glen Eira City Council gallery over the past month.
Artwork from the exhibition can now be viewed online or through the Peel Street Project Project in Collingwood until 16 July.
