Photographer and Arabana, Mudbura, Gurindji, Warlpiri woman, Colleen Raven Strangways joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk about photography practice and series UV Songlines: Illuminating ancestral roots at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.

The series which has been an idea of Colleen's for a long time captures images of Elders with songlines and totems painted in UV paint which illuminates songlines and storytelling.

Colleen also spoke about Blak Lens, a First Nations collective of Photographers & Videographers.

UV Songlines: Illuminating ancestral roots is travelling to South Australia later in the year and is currently on display at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale until 22 October 2023.
