Climate scientist and writer, Dr Joelle Gergis phoned into The Grapevine to chat with Koulja and Dylan on her latest book, Sunburnt Country: The History and Future of Climate Change in Australia. The book uses several sources—including colonial diaries, newspapers, artwork and indigenous storytelling—to uncover Australia’s early weather patterns beyond the relatively new official records. Dr Gergis also discussed the divide in the scientific community over climate change and how such rapid changes in temperature could affect future Australia.
