A conversation with Worimi and Biripi poet Nicole Smede, about her work with language as a means of reconnecting with her culture. She is the First Nations Senior Project Manager for Red Room Poetry and has been a key contributor to the Poetry in First Languages program since its inception in 2018, which is a program that delivers First Nations-led poetry workshops to support students to find strength in their cultural identities.
