Melbourne’s Big League have been serving as one of the finest purveyors of indie-rock on the scene these last few years. Created over loungeroom recordings by husband & wife team Travis & Marie, the endearing quintet have fast found a name for themselves not just at home, but abroad as well.
In addition to tour dates across the US (pre-covid), Big League picked up critical acclaim off the back of their set at SXSW, showcasing cuts from their debut album.
2021 finally saw the release of their second offering ‘A Symbol Like a Cloud’. Recorded entirely at home during DIY renovations, the album is a lo-fi affair; weaving the best elements of ’90s alternative rock with power-pop harmonies to deliver strong, fuzzy, hook driven tunes.
With their male/female vocals, Big League present uplifting alternative pop-rock that is sure to warm the hearts of even the most jaded music fan. Through their distinctive language of distorted melodies, Big League spin tales that celebrate the often unappreciated details of suburban Australia.
Big League are heading to the U.S.A. again this August, this will be the last chance to catch them before they jet. Joining them on the night will be local legends Annual Leaf.
