Xin trio plays a range of repertoire from the jazz idiom. Hector Harley (Tenor Saxophone), Monty Shnier (Bass) and Ollie Cox (Drums) have been playing together in a wide variety of musical contexts for years, this ensemble explores spontaneity and ensemble interactivity.

Xin focuses primarily on rhythmically adventurous interpretations of repertoire from the American songbook. Specifically admiring the way ensembles such as the Walter Smith trio, Will Vinson trio and Paul Motian ‘On Broadway’ Ensembles collaboratively develop melodic material.

This month, they are joined by special guest Benjamin Attiche (guitar) who will play two sets with the trio.
