Born in a backyard studio in Thornbury in the midst of Melbourne lockdown, the Wild Dog Mountains play a rustic lo-fi alt-country fused with a bit of jangly power pop, reminiscent of The Silver Jews, Magnolia Electric Co and maybe a little bit of Paul Kelly.

Fronted by Jay Phillipson, this is a new band, with a suite of songs written in the midst of 2020's ennui about love, loneliness, and suburban desperation.
