Hailing from the infamously fertile musical landscape of Perth, Western Australia VERGE COLLECTION expertly balance classic pop sensibilities and working class poetry to channel the collective conscious of suburban Australian milennials.

Songwriter and front-man Ben Arnold wears an influence on his sleeve like a badge of honour, taking cues from classic songwriters like Reed, Young, Dylan and Bowie, and putting a refreshingly Australian spin on a familiar brand of spirited and earnest pop in the same vein as Kelly, McLennon and more recently, Barnett have done before him. The result is charming, witty and effortlessly catchy. His songs have the ability to hoist you high to the point of chills and a stupid grin, before making you plummet just as quickly into an existential nosedive.

Following the success of their 2018 release ‘Flaneur’ the band are back with their latest effort ‘Ludlow Hithergreen’. 13 songs pressed on pink wax featuring singles ‘Synthetic Fibres’ and ‘Cover It Up’.

“After the passing of my dad in 2016, I spent a lot of time driving back and forth down south to my uncles house in Bunbury. The isolation of traveling alone provided me with a lot of time to think things through. Ludlow Hithergreen is some of the thoughts I had during those long drives” – Ben Arnold
