Tom Cartoonist and his all-star super band are playing the Gaso! Fresh from having just launched his brand new EP "Four Songs About Suburbs & Food", Tom can't wait to play some new and familiar favourites. Joined on drums by Immy Owusu (and other surprise guests), Tom's songs combine kooky Jonathan Richman type lyrics with upbeat garage riffs ala Green Day & The Hives. Support acts include alternative rock act Soft Taco, and folk-troubadour extraordinaire Ciaran Boyle. Something for everyone!

Melt returns to the gaso upstairs with another night showcasing some of Melbourne's finest artists, producers and DJs, featuring:

Polito (live) "A meeting of dance and music, working together to continually reinvent and reinterpret one another, introspectively reacting and evolving through a continuous form. Moments of euphoria emerge out of and supersede the mundane. Forms align, hyperextending into a blurry dissonance before snapping back into sublime harmony."

Polito closed the MONOSS stage at Strawberry Fields 2018, entrancing the crowd with their unique blend of live techno and contemporary dance. The group was also the winner of "Best Music" at Melbourne Fringe Festival 2018. We're very excited to host them for Melt vol. 4. https://vimeo.com/295714247

Cooper Dodge Cooper has played a prominent role over years as both a producer and a DJ in the Melbourne minimal scene under his old moniker of Peruw. and now under his own name. From Revs to the Breakfast Club, he's a veteran of bringing dance floors to life.https://soundcloud.com/killing-time-recordings/ktr-podcast-012-cooper-dodge

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land on which we gather and pay tribute to elders past, present and future.

The venue is located up a flight of stairs, DM with any further Qs re: accessibility.

Mandarin Dreams & Crown Ruler are proud to launch the latest project from KUZICH…

FRUIT SOUP

Kuzich has been turning heads since his recent arrival in Melbourne.

Finding a home with his Mandarin Dreams family, the last 12 months has seen him collaborate with artists like Sampa The Great, Joyce Wrice, Mwanje, Raw Humps, Silentjay & Jace XL just to name a few.

He’s now ready to share his latest collection of existential soul music.

Known for his lush production, evident on his debut release, Dawn Chorus (823/Jakarta Records), Fruit Soup also highlights his talent as a vocalist and story teller.

Singing otherworldly love songs from the comfort of his drum stool, and backed by his Mandarin Dreams Octet, this performance will be an all immersive reflection of the beauty and absurdity of the everyday.
