An immersive, enveloping journey of shadows and light. Tilley’s new record close. places intimate songs of love, loathing, transformation, and what it means to be human, into vast, lushly layered landscapes created by producer D.A.Calf. Joined by a full band for the first time, Tilley invites you to step into this dark and sparkling world, to witness the start of a new chapter in her music.

Supported by two other illustrious and talented vocalists & songwriters, Seth Henderson (TAS) and Matt Wicking (The General Assembly), this will be a magical night, not to be missed for anyone who loves beautifully crafted musical stories and the power of the human voice. Gentle droning guitars, melodic bass, vivid synths and organ, and thundering drums support Tilley’s endlessly versatile voice as she moves from dark, down-to-earth, and honest explorations of self-loathing and regret, to dazzling, shining love, joy and gratitude. Drawing on influences such as Moses Sumney, Joni Mitchell, Damon Albarn (for whom Tilley sang backing vocals on his Australian solo tour), Jeff Buckley, Sharon Van Etten, Low, The General Assembly, and Laura Marling, close. is an ending… or a nearness, a coming-together.  A space where both exist at once. "

Being serenaded by Tilley is like being in the presence of an angel. She is a rare and beautiful talent.” - Mikelangelo (The Tin Star and The Black Sea Gentlemen)
