The Syncopators will take audiences on a musical journey through the USA's great gift to the world - 'jazz'. Starting with the self-proclaimed inventor of jazz, Jelly Roll Morton, and Joe 'King' Oliver - mentor to the young Louis Armstrong - the band will feature jazz hits through the ages, lighting up the stage and culminating in the pre-rock 'jump-jive' era of Louis Prima and Louis Jordan.

Accompanied by the vocally gifted Yvette Johansson, the journey will include favourites from some of the most iconic female jazz icons, including Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.

The Syncopators are:

Peter Gaudion - trumpet/vocal

Richard Miller - clarinet/alto sax

Chris Ludowyk - leader/trombone

Steve Grant - piano

Jeff Arthur - guitar/banjo

James Clark - tuba/bass

Rod Gilbert - drums/vocal

And their star guest:

Yvette Johansson - vocals
