The Golden Rail and Cold Irons Bound are sharing an acoustic bill, complete with a few surprises. New records are well underway in both camps so expect some road testing of new tunes, stripped back versions of old faithfuls and many genuine proclamations across the two sets of “jeez it’s good to play live again”.

The Golden Rail are relatively new by name but have a musical backstory stretching all the way to Perth in the sunny, indie 1980’s as direct participants (or side players) in The Plaisades, The Rainyard, Header, Summer Suns, DM3 and more recently, The Jangle Band.

Melbourne four-piece Cold Irons Bound recall the distorted twang that runs through The Long Ryders, REM & The Jayhawks while also keeping an ear keenly tuned to the jangle of The Teenage Fanclub, The Posies and the melodic best from their native land.
