The Australian Joe Cocker ‘Mad Dogs & Englishmen’ 50th Anniversary Show features an 11-piece band made up of some of Melbourne’s finest musicians attuned to Joe Cocker’s music.

Mike O’Loughlin has been singing the music of Joe Cocker for over 20 years. His voice has incredible depth and emotion paying great respect to Joe’s amazing catalogue of songs. Backing vocals accompanying Mike includes two artists each with their own solo careers: Anthea Jewels Steele (Pearl – The Janis Joplin Show) and Gabrielle Parbo (Tapestry – The Carol King Show), accompanying long-time band member Lindel Bell.

The 11-piece band features:

Two keyboards – Simon Walters, who is Musical Director and has a long history as arranger for many theatrical productions and choirs both here and in the UK; and Michelle Johns, an in demand keyboardist and a renowned maestro on the Hammond Organ,

Paul Williamson (Paul Williamson’s Hammond Combo, Renee Geyer, Vince Jones and the Black Sorrows, Dire Straits) on saxophone,

Tibor Gyapjas (“At Last” “The Etta James Story” with Vikka Bull) on trumpet,

PLUS a pounding rhythm section of twin guitars, bass and drums…
