Orange Orange launches his latest single ‘Granny Lands’ at the Gasometer alongside Blue Belly and Clover Blue on May 12 2022.
With humble beginnings as a side-interest in electronic production, Ryan Basile (he/him) has turned this creative exploration into a pursuit towards the future of indie-pop, borrowing elements of electronica, folk, punk and rock to create tightly-knit, memorable music, under the name ‘Orange Orange’.
Orange Orange explores a diverse range of social topics concerning the state of the world and human psyche through songwriting, exploring the facets of clicktivism, corporate greed, the decaying state of our climate, losing touch with modern reality, and many other topics.
Orange Orange shares their hazy yet infectious track ‘Granny Lands’, a journey of driving beats with hints of psychedelia. Layers upon layers of vocals create a full-bodied, sonic realm that absorbs the listener instantly whilst a gliding, squealing synth sends the track into oblivion. ‘Granny Lands’ is artistic Alt-Pop at its very finest and Orange Orange is quickly proving themself as a force to be reckoned with.
