The band performs original music, best described as a curious mishmash of folk, Celtic, jazz, country & blues with a strong connection to place. Featuring catchy tunes, vibrant arrangements, driving rhythms, and a touch of nostalgia, Tapsalteerie is establishing itself as a force on Melbourne’s live scene.

Comprised of Meredith Beardmore (flute), Timothy Franklin (guitar/keyboards), Isaac Gunnoo (bass) and Maddison Carter (drums), Tapsalteerie represents a truly contemporary Australian folk sound. Tapsalteerie are excited to play their first show at the Drunken Poet.
