Strange Kind Of Future is a new way of examining how we value entertainment. Developed in the midst of lockdowns and uncertainty about the future of music, collaborators Oscar Galt and Matt Bourke pivoted a project that they had been working on to create a new vision for how a band could exist and function. Cut to “Australian Nightmare” a horror themed record loaded with musical collaborators including Alison Thom(Howlite), Bec Goring and Hollie Joyce.

Each individual track is paired with a visual artist who creates a piece inspired by the song. That piece is then animated to accompany the song's live performance. The result is something that cannot be achieved by a single individual, but only the strength of a vibrant and flourishing artistic community.

Strange Kind Of Future’s “Australian Nightmare” isn’t simply a band, it’s an exhibition. In an exclusive 2 shows only event, the live band will be showcasing the album in its entirety, complete with a unique visual experience.

Vinyl records will be available to purchase on the night.
