Formed in 2023, the Southbank Jazz Orchestra is a new appearance in Melbourne’s music scene, established by Caleb Paine and Chanel Langdon as a means to get their original big band music out into the world.

In November 2023, they released their first album titled "The World Will Spin". This album features as guest artists Matthew Jodrell, Gianni Marinucci and Jordan Murray, alongside many talented up and coming musicians from Melbourne’s music scene.

The band includes several unusual instruments, giving the orchestra a unique and captivating sound.

This performance will include a number of pieces from the album, as well as new pieces by Caleb Paine and Chanel Langdon, and other members of the orchestra.
